Paul Broxson has a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Criminal Justice, from Mountain State University. He spent 4 years in the US Army, as an Airborne Infantryman, where he reached the rank of Sergeant/E-5. Paul graduated from the US Army’s Airborne School and Air Assault School. After the Army. In 1995 he began his career in law enforcement as a municipal police officer. As a police officer Paul served as patrolman, community police officer, street crimes detective and patrol sergeant. In addition to his assigned duties Paul is a 17-year veteran of the police department’s Tactical Response Team or TRT, serving 15 of those years as team leader.
Paul has over 1000 hours of advanced training in law enforcement operations. He also holds instructor certifications in the following disciplines:
During his service as a police officer Paul received 3 Police Commendation Medals and 1 Police Commendation Award.
In 2016, after 19 years of service Paul medically from law enforcement due to an in the line of duty injury he sustained, while in a foot pursuit with an armed suspect.
