Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Awareness and Response
Course Description
This comprehensive 8-hour course provides students with a working knowledge of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and more. By utilizing classroom instruction, live demonstrations, training aids, and scenario based exercises students will learn what to look for, precautions and responses to IEDs. Instructor Harald Dewit is a former EOD specialist with the Belgian Organized Violent Crimes Task Force. Dewit also served as a civilian EOD contractor in war-zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Dewit has countless training hours and real-world experiences regarding counter terrorist site assessment, X-ray interpretation, explosive response, detection, and disposal.
